Frequently Asked Questions
Q. What is my Personal Identification Number (PIN)?
A. If you have an existing account with us, your PIN was assigned and disclosed to you at account opening. If you do not recall your PIN, please contact us at (815)385-5400 during regular business hours so we may assign a new one to you. Once your PIN has been assigned, you will use this assigned PIN the first time you call First Fone. During this first call, you will be prompted to select a new four digit PIN known only to you.
Q. First Fone tells me that my PIN is expired or
invalid. What does that mean ?
A. If First Fone tells you that your PIN is
expired, simply stay on the line and you will be given
instructions on how to change your PIN. If you hear that
your PIN is invalid, you will need to contact us at
(815)385-5400 during regular business hours in order for us
to reset your PIN.
Q. What balance will First Fone give me?
A. First Fone will provide you with an
Available Cash Balance. The Available Cash Balance is
computed by taking your balance the close of business the
previous business day and adding or subtracting any pending
transactions (Option 2, then Option 5).
Q. Where can I find out how much a Direct Deposit is
for ?
A. That depends on the day you call. If you are
calling on the day we receive your direct deposit, you may
find out how much it is for by pressing Option 2 (Review
Transactions) and then Option 5 (Pending Transactions). If
you are calling on any other day after we receive it, you
will find it by pressing Option 2 (Review Transactions) and
then Option 2 (Last Five Deposits).
Q. After listening to First Fone, my balance seems
correct, but there are some items that are unaccounted for —
like debit card transactions. Where can I find these ?
A. Generally, you’ll be able to find these
transactions by pressing Option 2 (Review Transactions) and
then Option 3 (History of all Transactions). Here you will
find all other activity that posts to your account that
isn’t a traditional check or deposit. Items found here
include ATM withdrawals, debit card transactions, interest
payments, account maintenance charges, internal bank
transfers, etc.
Q. What is the cut-off time for transfers made using
First Fone ?
A. Transfers or loan payments made after 5:00
PM the day of the transaction may not be posted until the
following business day.
Q. Is there a charge for First Fone ?
A. No. First Fone is available to all account
holders free of charge. If you use the toll-free number,
you’ll find even the call itself is free.
